Invoices for your business
Create an invoice, mark it as sent, and record how your client paid.
TrottOn does not email invoices yet. When you mark an invoice as sent, nothing is sent to your client: send it to them yourself. Card payments through TrottOn are coming soon too.
Create an invoice (website)
- Go to Billing in your business dashboard.
- Tap Create Invoice, choose the client and add the items.
- Save it. It starts as a draft.
Send it to your client
- Open the invoice and tap Mark as sent.
- Send the invoice to your client yourself, for example by email or message.
A client whose TrottOn account is linked to your business can also see the invoice under Invoices in their account.
In the Android app, the button says Send Invoice, but it works the same way: it marks the invoice as sent, and you use Share to send it to your client.
Record a payment
When your client pays you, open the invoice and tap Record Payment. Choose cash, card, bank transfer, cheque or other. TrottOn keeps the record; the money goes straight from your client to you.
